DESCRIPTION:Serverless has a lot of hype around it right now as the next w
ave in the history of compute. With all of the big cloud providers trying
to catch this wave\, that hype appears to be not unfounded. Serverless a
rchitectures provide a way to build highly scalable event-driven distribu
ted systems by leveraging managed cloud services and (at the core) functi
ons as a service (FaaS). \n\nIn this talk we discuss what it means to be
serverless\, primary use cases for serverless\, being event-driven\, and
the pros/cons of going serverless. In the last part of the talk we will t
ouch on how to leverage the Serverless Framework to start building these
 distributed event-driven architectures.
