Serverless Event Driven Architectures
Serverless has a lot of hype around it right now as the next wave in the history of compute. With all of the big cloud providers trying to catch this wave, that hype appears to be not unfounded. Serverless architectures provide a way to build highly scalable event-driven distributed systems by leveraging managed cloud services and (at the core) functions as a service (FaaS).
In this talk we discuss what it means to be serverless, primary use cases for serverless, being event-driven, and the pros/cons of going serverless. In the last part of the talk we will touch on how to leverage the Serverless Framework to start building these distributed event-driven architectures.
